Associate Professor (Pharmaceutics)

Dr. Sheikh Sofiur Rahman is presently working as an Associate Professor in the department of Pharmaceutics at NEF college of Pharmacy. He has completed his B.Pharm degree in 2011 from Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Pharmaceutical Science (GIPS), Guwahati.He has received his M.Pharm in Pharmaceutics in 2013 from GIPS, Guwahati under Gauhati University. He worked as a Hospital Pharmacist at Azara BPHC, Kamrup (R) under National Health Mission from March 2014 to July 2018.He then joined as an Assistant Professor in the department of Pharmaceutics for 4 year 8 months at GIPS, Guwahati. Dr. Rahman was awarded Ph.D. degree in 2020 from Gauhati University, Assam.During his tenure in teaching profession.

Dr. Rahman has published his research work in 5 international and 9 national Journal. His area of research work related to novel and nanoparticulate drug delivery system. He has also presented his research work in different national, international seminar/conferences held in Assam.

Dr. Rahman participitated many QIP, FDP and STTP workshop conducted by colleges and AICTE as a learner. Dr. Rahman guided 12 B.Pharm. project students and 7 M.Pharm thesis. He is a life member of Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA) and presently selected as Joint secretary IPA local branch, Guwahati.
