Assistant Professor

Ms. Nihalini Kalita is presently designated as an Assistant Professor in NEF College of Pharmacy, Guwahati, Assam. She completed her Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from Assam Down Town University, Guwahati in 2022 and completed her post-graduation (M. Pharm.) from the University of North Bengal, Darjeeling, West Bengal, India in 2024. Her graduated research was centered on the “Repurposed Drug for the management of Diabetes Mellitus: Mirabegron” and postgraduate research was centered on the “Pharmacognostical, Phytochemical, and Pharmacological Evaluation of the Melastoma malabathricum flower”, reflecting her deep interest in medicinal plant research. She has contributed to the academic community through four published review articles and has actively participated in a national seminar conducted by Institute of Pharmacy, Jalpaiguri 2024 and international seminar conducted by Assam Downtown university “PHARMACON 2.O’’, 2024 and numerous workshops and webinar. Additionally, she has successfully completed a 30-days internship program at a Government Primary Health Centre (PHC), Boko, Kamrup, Assam gaining valuable practical experience in pharmacy services.
