Md. Latifur Rahman, currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Pharmacognosy at NEF College of Pharmacy, Guwahati, is a passionate educator and researcher dedicated to advancing pharmaceutical science.
His academic journey began with the successful completion of a Diploma in Pharmacy from the esteemed Institute of Pharmacy, Gauhati Medical College, Guwahati, in 2018. Eager to gain hands-on experience, he underwent rigorous hospital training at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital, honing his practical skills.
During his Bachelor of Pharmacy studies at NETES Institute of Pharmaceutical Science, Mirza, Guwahati, Md. Latifur Rahman completed his industrial training at Alkem Health Sciences Pvt. Ltd., situated in Samardung, Sikkim, gaining valuable industry insights. Additionally, his project work during his Bachelor of Pharmacy focused on synthesis in medicinal chemistry, demonstrating his early interest in drug development.
His academic prowess and commitment to excellence were further demonstrated during his Master of Pharmacy studies at the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, University of North Bengal, where he graduated with top honors. During his master’s program, Md. Latifur Rahman published two research papers in international journals, showcasing his contribution to the advancement of pharmaceutical science. As part of his master’s research project, he focused on the “Distribution of free and bound phenolics in black rice (Oryza sativa L. Indica): an effect of conventional and modern methods on extraction.” His groundbreaking research underscored his dedication to exploring new frontiers in the field.
Today, as an Assistant Professor, Md. Latifur Rahman continues to inspire the next generation of pharmacists with his expertise, passion, and commitment to excellence.
