Assistant Professor

Ms. Asifa Zaman is currently designated as an Assistant Professor, bringing a strong academic background and a passion for teaching, research, and mentorship. With a commitment to academic excellence and innovation, she has been actively contributing to both diploma and undergraduate education. Ms. Zaman holds a Post-Graduation degree, M. Pharm in Pharmacology from Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Pharmaceutical Science (GIPS) Guwahati, in 2024 and a graduate degree as a B. Pharm in 2022 from the same College. She also completed Diploma in Pharmacy from Institute of Pharmacy, Gauhati Medical College in the year 2019. She has done one-month industrial training in Avizen Biopharma Private Limited. She also has three months working experiences as a hospital Pharmacist in Gauhati Medical College and Hospital and her academic journey reflects a blend of scholarly rigor and interdisciplinary engagement. During her time of graduation and post-graduation she was participated in the One-day National Symposium on Challenges and Opportunities in the management of neurological disorders, Organized by Dept. of Pharmacology and Toxicology, NIPER Guwahati. She has also participated and secured second position in the poster competition held in the National Pharmacovigilance Week-23, organized by AIIMS Guwahati. With a firm belief in academic integrity and inclusive education, Ms. Zaman continues to work towards shaping future professionals with the knowledge, skills, and ethical values, dedication, adaptability, and an enthusiasm for lifelong learning.
